Almost ten years ago, JHC and I had our first date. It was an eight hour long Harry Potter marathon. How magical is it that a decade later we have our own little Dobby and Hedwig?! Houston’s nickname is Hoot and Brooks’ is obsessed with socks, so it seemed fitting. I cannot get over how cute they look!
With the help of Walmart, I was able to save time and money this Halloween. They have all of your favorite characters at the most affordable prices. Not only is Walmart accessible to everyone, with pickup and next day delivery options you can spend more time with your family and out of the store.. It took me less than an hour to order everything and set up the balloons for pictures. The hardest part was corralling the boys for a good picture, but with the help of this we were able to capture those sweet smiles.

I love how festive these balloons are! Not only is it a super affordable way to decorate, but it only took me 30 minutes! I used one pack of these balloons and this pump. You could do this for any holiday if you just swap out the bats for something that fits that holiday.
Creating a Balloon Garland
- With the pump I’m able to blow up two balloons at once. Tie the ends together and you’ll end up with pairs of balloons. [tip: try not to over fill balloons so you have more spherical balloons vs. ovals.
- Once you have all your pairs together. Take two pairs [four balloons] and twist them together until you have all your balloons in quads.
- Now that all your balloons are in quads, take balloon string and string all the quads together. This will make the balloon garland very secure.
- Attach bats with tape and you’re done!
My secret weapon for easy pictures with toddlers:
This bubble gun makes taking pictures of toddlers so easy. If your toddlers are anything like mine, getting them BOTH to be still and smile while you’re taking a picture is no easy feat. Within minutes of using the bubble gun, I was able to capture these sweet smiles. I’d rather a few bubbles in a photo and a great picture any day. For $5 you can’t go wrong!
I hope y’all have a safe and stressfree Halloween! What are you dressing up as?
